RealWorld 2007 Year-End Downloads:
Software Correction Issued
A software correction was issued for the 2007 year-end update which applies only to the RealWorld versions listed below.
DATE ISSUED: 1/24/08
AFFECTED VERSIONS: RealWorld V9.0 & V9.1 only, (DOS & UNIX)
PROBLEM: Magnetic W2 reporting only:
If the Social Security wages plus W-2 insurance premium exceeded $100,000.00, they were not being reported correctly for magnetic W2s.
SOLUTION: The magnetic W2 program (MAGW2S) has been corrected. Please select the appropriate version number to download from the list below and apply it to your RealWorld system.

Be sure to select the
correct update for your current system version. Choose
the same version that you currently have. Do not attempt to install an earlier or later update version than your current version. These downloads contain only the patch issued and are not a complete update of the 2007 year-end changes. Please Contact Us if you need to order the 2007 year-end update for your RealWorld Classic system.
Please follow the instructions
below for the version and platform you maintain:
DOS/Windows:
Download the appropriate update file (below) to the RealWorld top-level directory/folder. Then, from the RealWorld top-level folder, click on the downloaded zip file. Using WinZip, put the file in place. Be sure to checkmark the option to “Use folder names” within WinZip. Once the corrected program is in place, re-create the W2 magnetic file within RealWorld for distribution to the IRS.
UNIX:
Download the appropriate update file (below) to the RealWorld top-level directory. The download zip file must reside in the RealWorld top-level directory. From the RealWorld top-level directory, type the appropriate command to put the new program(s) in place. For example, type: unzip filename.zip <Enter> (Where “filename.zip” represents your download zip file name.) Answer “Y” to the “Overwrite existing?” question. Wait a moment while the new program is put into place. Once in place, re-create the W2 magnetic file within RealWorld for distribution to the IRS.
